Leave types are the various types of leaves that an employee can take, such as sick leave, vacation leave, and so on. You can add as many leave types as your institution requires. You can specify the leave count to be credited, the leave carry forward, and other leave settings for each leave type.
To create a new leave category, navigate to ERP > Human Resource > Employees > Add Employee > (On the Add New Employee page, you have to scroll to get the next option: Add New Leave Category.)
